MONDAY 4.29.2013

Saturday we had an epic race day at SCRC hosting the Leadfinger 1st annual race event! A grand total of 201 race entries and a perfectly run race program of 2 min. max. between heats made for a great race day that was fun to the very end!
Racers came from as far as Georgia and were treated to a superb racing venue, track layout by Anthony "Chicago" and racing surface that consisted of a very challenging layout with a very high bite surface.
One of the racers that we will quote (small edits for family) here explained it best from his point of view:

"All in all, I had SUCH a blast yesterday!!!! The track was * SICK and beyond bad-ass. I loved that there wasn't one flat/level section of track.. Every square foot was off-camber or crooked. I LOVED IT!! And adding to that, every square inch was blue groove!? It all added up to the track being DIALED. And all of my cars were almost TOO hooked-up! I actually had to dial my Pro4 down ALOT.. It was wanting to traction roll, EVERYWHERE! Lol, all in all, it was a phenomenal weekend and I will definitely be coming back to the FL indoor scene, at least once a month!" -Tylor

We appreciate the great comments and look forward to you coming back to our venue as you added your talent to the very fast pool of racers attending this event!
Thank-you to the entire staff at SCRC, The Leadfinger Race group, Lance McDonald and Mike Applegate, and along with hundreds of others that made this such a fun & successful event! We wish Leadfinger R/C continued success in the coming year and already are looking forward to year #2!

Hello Racers! We would like to take this opportunity to thank you for your support of Space Coast R/C over the last 9 months. We are continually improving the facility and race programs to make this the best indoor r/c racing facility around; for racers and spectators. We are so excited about how happy everyone has been with the Chaos on the Coast points series. The first two races each had over 100 entries. The third race is coming up next weekend, on April 20th. From this point forward, it is important to make it to each race to stay in contention for points winner in your class. We will be dropping one race from each racer at the end of the series, so if you’ve missed one, you are still in top contention...HOTnESS!!

Also, Monster Energy proud to sponsor High Energy Fridays at Space Coast R/C. On the fourth Friday of every month, everyone will receive a FREE Monster Energy drink with their paid admission. So let’s do this!

Thursday 4.4.2013

We had a good showing on Wednesday night despite mother nature's attempt to keep racers away with murmurs of tornadoes and strong thunder storms...many brave racers came out and walked the walk!
The racing was hot and heavy in all of the classes and in particular the 1/10 4wd buggy class had a showing of 9 very fast racers! My how this class has grown even on a stormy Wednesday night with great action in the mains as this one was fun to watch!
Thanks to everyone that came out and showed support for the SCRC facility, we truely appreciate your support in keeping Florida's largest indoor offroad racing venue humming daily!
For those of you looking for the last months results or any past results, use the right column area, RESULTS field box and scroll down to find the date you are looking for. Once you click on it, then just click GO and a pdf page will open up for you. You will need Adobe Reader installed on your system for this.
The results for 3/23/2013 were sent and are now posted for everyone to view!

Saturday 3.30.2013

Awesome time and turnout today at Spacecoast RC!
We had approximately 87 to 90 entries today with many heavy hitters of R/C from around the state in attendance today such as Paul Wynn, Jason Ruona, Andrew Darby, Billy Easton, Billy Bruce, Don Hay, Bryan Thomas, Zack Genova, Kevin Doogie Lee, Brian Watts, Richard Schaeffer, Chris Schaeffer, T.J. Bradley, Tony Rivas, Bobby Smith, RC-Life Meagan and Jason; and many many more! Great side-by-side racing action and fantastic close racing all day long. The track remained very consistant all day long and we had a great time as usual!
Thanks to everyone that came out and made this a great racing day.

Sunday 3.24.2013

The SCRC Staff has produced the missing results for the last months worth of races, so if you have been patiently waiting for them, please go over to the right hand column of the site and you can now retrieve them from there.
Big thanks to the entire SCRC Staff and friends for providing such a fantastic venue for RC enthusiasts to come and enjoy themselves in!

**NEW** As part of its' on-going consideration of participating regulars, SCRC has added a stock class to the lineup.
Ontop of the regular 2WD Buggy Stock class, we now have a 2WD Buggy "PRO" Stock Class as well. The differences are on driver ability, as the 17.5 and blinky or Non-Timing advances are prohibited from the speed control for both regular stock and Pro stock classes. Basically, if during your practice in the mornings you are on or above the 25 sec lap margin (25 to 27 sec for example to complete a lap) then feel free to sign up for "regular stock", but keep in mind there is a "break-out" condition. This condition is if at any time during qualifying or the mains, you dip below the 25 sec lap margin (example a 24.9 sec lap) this lap will not count and you will end up losing each and every lap that falls below the 25 second margin.
The Pro Stock class is for those racers that have more experience and/or the ability to consistantly fall below the 25 second per lap margin, based on driver ability, tire choices, and the latest generation of fast stock motors.
These two stock classes have been growing in leaps and bounds as it is providing both type of racers to come and run stock, and still be fair for those not yet having the experience but yet need a stock spec class to develop within. So if you are a first timer, we still have the Novice class (run what you brung), Sportsman class (next level up from Novice), Regular Stock Class (entry into the stock spec class with 2WD buggy cars) and the Pro Stock Class (advanced stock racing class for the experienced racer still wishing to run the stock 17.5 blinky motor class rules).
When you sign-up for racing, please add the word "PRO-STOCK" to your entry line if you intend to run the Pro-Stock class. This class is still the same 17.5 motor limit, and blinky or no-added-timing from the speed control class of racing, and limited to a 2s lipo (shorty or regular length pack).
If you should have any questions on this, please feel free to ask once you arrive or on our forums @ RCtech. So far this change has been favorable to everyone who is regularly participating and has increased our stock racing numbers significantly indications that racers new and experienced are in favor of.

Saturday 3.16.2013

The 2nd round of the Chaos on the Coast Series brought to you by Space Coast R/C is in the books and the scores are being tallied up by the SCRC staff!
The track was in excellent conditions and traction level was very high! The tracks excellent layout and flow made for some great side-by-side racing and close finishes...as well as some big "come from behind" catching that made for great spectating!
The 105 attendees were in comfortable pits and everyone was having a good time, and the cheers from the family and friends that were spectating could be heard through-out the venue!
A big thank-you to everyone that came out and made the event such a big hit, and we look forward to your return for round #3 on April 20th!
Look for the results and overall tallies once they have been provided by the staff of SCRC!

Friday 3.8.2013

Last Wednesday night SCRC was rocking the house with the evening race program and the announcement that Monster Energy are now official sponsors for Space Coast R/C! The track was in great shape and the traction was ultra high as many racers had to try and contend with the huge amount of traction that had developed!
Tomorrow, Saturday March 9th is the warm-up race for next Saturday's Choas on the Coast Race #2 in the series and a perfect time to come out and fine tune those machines to perfection!
We will see you tomorrow morning for SCRC HoTTneSS!

Saturday 3.2.2013

We had a fantastic and fun racing day today! Big thank-you to everyone that came out and had fun at SCRC. We now have a new stock class to complement the different stock racing levels for drivers. Regular stock or "Box stock" as we called it the first time out will be for drivers running 25 and over second laps on the current layout, while "Pro Stock" will be the class for those that can do at least more than two laps under the 25 second margin. Drivers in "Box Stock" that break the 25 second margin will be placed into the Pro Stock class. This should allow for a larger stock class racing group which on its' first day proved to be true!
Good job to everyone that participated!

Congratulations to today's winners:

The CHAOS ON THE COAST series got started off with a huge bang, and we are looking forward to everyone coming back for race #2!
Epic race day yesterday, and if you missed it all we can say is "we are so sorry that you did". It was perhaps one of the best racing days I've witnessed in a very long time! Race direction went flawlessly with 5 min qualifiers and 7 min mains. Huge thanks to the staff at SCRC for providing such a great facility and hosting what now is becoming a very fun and competitive series!
Congratulations to all the podium finishers!

Wednesday 2.13.2013

Tonight is a great night to prep and tune for the start of this weekends Chaos on the Coast Series.  The FORCE Series Race was a big success and thank-you to everyone that came out and had a great time at SCRC! We are looking forward to the next time the FORCE series will be able to come out to SCRC once more! Congratulations to everyone that finished on the podiums and in the points! Results for the race are in the right column.

Shortly after the end of the FORCE race, the SCRC staff got to work right away on the surface to "re-surface" it for this weekends CHAOS ON THE COAST series, race #1. Pictured below is Jason hard at work to provide you the best possible racing experience at SCRC!

Friday 2.8.2013

While you are getting ready for SCRC's New Upcoming Series "Chaos on the Coast" starting Feb. 16th, make sure to set your calendars to attend Lead Finger Racing's 1st Annual Anniversary Race on April 27th at Space Coast R/C!

Wednesday 2.6.2013

We had some great racing going on last night at SCRC! Track prep for this weekends FORCE race was in effect, so that meant the track had a bit more moisture in it than most are used to, which made it a little slick for some but not everyone. Track seemed to have plenty of traction for some, just not as much steering traction as some of us looked for more on the front.
Great racing and congrats to the podium finishers!

Sunday 2.4.2013

On Sunday, SCRC held its normal club race for the electric classes and we had a great showing, even though we had a good showing also on Saturday! Thank-you to all the racers for coming out and having a great time!
Results are posted on the right column!

We would like to also thank Mr. Jack Knapp for coming out to join us last night! Jack is in town on business and yet still found the time to come out to SCRC! He hails from Virginia, and ran Stadium Truck with us here!

Congratulations to our podium finishers!

 Sundays Podium Winners!

Saturday 1.19.2013

Regarding the D3.5 17.5 Stock Motor, SCRC is going to allow the D3.5 stock motors to continue to run in the stock class within our facility. Since we are not running ROAR sanctioned races currently, we don't have to abide by their current ruling. Space Coast R/C will not try to make the hobby any more costly for our loyal racers who have already invested money in this motor, making them purchase another just to run stock. We stand by our racers!

Today was another fantastic race day at SCRC! A big thanks to all of the racers that came out today to have fun and get some racing on one of Florida's Premier Off-Road Circuits! Barcodes were once again the order of the day!

Todays Podium Finishers!

Congratulations to Donny Haywood for taking 1st place in the 2WD Stock Buggy class at Round #1 of the JConcepts Supersup series on January 6, 2013!
GREAT JOB TO OUR OTHER RACERS WHO FINISHED IN TOP 3 SPOTS AS WELL: BRYAN THOMAS, JEREMY MANGUS, JASON LEVEY, DAVID DAVIS, & BILLY BRUCE.
YOU ALL REPRESENTED SPACE COAST R/C AND MADE US PROUD!!!

Tuesday 1.8.2013

Sunday January 6th, Space Coast R/C hosted round #1 of the 2013 JConcepts Supercup series with the largest attendance to date for a Supercup event according to the promoters. Race entries topped at 290 for the single day event, and the facility was buzzing with anticipation of the great racing and friendly interactions being entertained through-out the event day.
The track layout was amazing and made for great close racing, as the jumps and turns flowed from one to the other. Traction was high and the track remained very consistant from practice to the mains as there was no "rocket round" to say, with laptimes being in the same range round after round.
Congratulations to all and thank-you for your continued support of Space Coast R/C and we look forward to future events for everyone, from novice or sportsman class to the advanced modified classes.
Results will be posted on RCTech in the 2013 Supercup forum as soon as the organizers catch their breaths after the huge effort they put forth on Sunday!

Wednesday 1.2.2013

Tonight is the last club race before round #1 of the 2013 JConcepts Super Cup...

Sunday 12.30.12

Great turnout on Saturday with 60 entries for the club race!
Thanks goes out to all the racers and for your continued support. The classes are growing, especially the stock buggy class and 4WD buggy class as we had a full field!
Jason turns a 23.1 in 2WD buggy and Austin Venezia turns a 22.922 second fast lap in 4WD modified and now holds the track record. With the JConcepts Supercup this weekend and the laptimes dropping almost every race day, how long can Lil' Austin Venezia hold onto the fastest single lap record at SCRC!
Stay Tuned as there are many fast contenders making the journey to Space Coast R/C this weekend, with the first attempts at breaking the fastest lap being Wednesday night.
Wednesday nights due to the cold have been known to set some of the fastest times to date!
So who is coming out Wednesday night and making a run for it!?!

Results for Saturday are posted!

Saturday 12.08.2012

Fantastic day today and great racing action! We were treated to some very close and back & forth racing in many classes today! The surface was very high traction and the race course was amazing courtesy of the amazing track building skills by Anthony "Chicago"!
Two rounds of qualifying and then the mains were run and we nearly saw some records broken once again. The record I do know of is the current 2WD modified record is 23.6 second lap held by Don 'Don-Tech' Haywood driving his mid motor TLR22 last Wednesday night.
I will try and post the overall fastest record once I find them out from the SCRC staff.
Results are posted and a big thank-you to all the local racers coming out and supporting your local indoor venue! We had 40+ entries last Wednesday night and 67 entries today on Saturday. The track is in fantastic shape and everyone seemed to have a great time today, many of us even sticking around afterwards and just hanging out after the awards were given out. Thank-you Racers!

Congratulations to all of the Podium Finishers!

Thursday 12.06.2012

Great turnout last night at Space Coast R/C, and it was exciting to see the parking lot full of cars when we pulled up for the Wednesday night racing program. Thank-you to all of those that came out and had a great time racing last night.
Florida Today was out at the track last night and did some interviews along with a lot of pictures and video footage shot of the environment, racing and camaraderie!

Saturday 10.6.2012

SCRC Club Race Today!
We had a nice showing today for our normal club races and were greeted by a very high traction track that stayed very consistant all day long for us all!
The 2WD modified buggy main was very fast today and the lap times in a race fell very quickly! After two rounds of qualifying, it was Ruffy Rios racing his mid-motor TLR22 with the top qualifying position; Jeff Harris in 2nd; Donny Haywood in 3rd; Billy Bruce in 4th; Rich Schaeffer in 5th and Jason Buss in 6th.
At the sound of the horn, the racers all took off and for the first few laps kept things clean and in control nicely! After 4 laps Ruffy made a very small mistake and Jeff flew by to take the lead nice and clean but on the next lap he too made a small mistake and Ruffy re-took the lead. The lead kept changing back and forth for a few laps between Jeff and Ruffy allowing Don to catch up to the lead-battle and work his way all the way up into the lead for a short time before he too made a small mistake allowing Ruffy and Jeff back into 1st and 2nd positions. Don kept the pressure on Jeff who was now in 2nd place as Ruffy started running some of his fastest laps cranking out a 23.33 sec lap to Jeff Harris' 23.77 fastest lap. As the time wound down, the three front runners were all on the same 18 lap pace and they finished with Ruffy taking the TQ and 1st place with an 18 lap 7:09 race time, 2nd and 3rd were only 1 sec apart at the line with Jeff taking the 2nd place with an 18/7:12.0 and Donny 18/7:13.2 race times. Great close racing through-out the day that also had Billy Bruce testing out his new RB6 buggy today!

Podium pictures from today's races and race results in the right column; Congratulations!

New track layout for the FORCE Race this weekend!

Wednesday Night Racing

Last night we had some of the best racers in Florida out for Wednesday night racing on the new surface and with SCRC's first layout change, that eliminated the cross-over jump.
In the 2WD modified buggy class, after two rounds of qualifying (standard now for every Wed.) We had Jason Ruona with the TQ position with a 12 lap 5:23.988 time, to lead out the A-Main.
Congratulations Jason!
At the horn, the 2WD mod racers had a very clean start and right away Jason (1), Paul (2) and Ruffy (3) started to pull away from the pack of 6 other racers as they raced through the new sections. The top three positions remained like this until a series of small mistakes by Jason allowed Paul to take the lead, with Jason 2nd and Ruffy 3rd. A few more laps into it, Paul started to extend his lead a little on Jason, with Jason making a few bobbles that allowed Ruffy to close the gap tightly to race for the 2nd position. Jason and Ruffy pushed each other a bit harder but a mistake by Jason allowed Ruffy to go by in 2nd. Ruffy now set his sights on Paul and slowly closed the gap to Paul bit by bit; but Paul kept a very constant and clean run going to maintain a gap to 2nd. In the final minute, Ruffy had closed the distance to Paul a little more, but as he went over the large double he had a bobble that allowed Jason to pass back into 2nd place. This is how they finished and there were no more lead changes with Paul Wynn Taking the win, Jason Ruona 2nd, Ruffy Rios 3rd, 4th was Jeremy Harris, 5th was Dave Davis, 6th was Brian Watts, 7th was Kyle Watts, 8th was Chris Richmond and 9th was Owen Watts.
Congratulations to Paul Wynn!

In the 4x4 SCT class, the TQ was Jerry Lewis with an 11 lap 5:22.543 time to lead them out in the A-Main.
Congratulations Jerry!
In the end it was Mark Soliman taking the win, with Jerry Lewis in 2nd, Tim Watts in 3rd, Jason Levey 4th, Ron Viesins 5th, Jim Watts 6th, Owen Watts 7th, and Adam Pillow 8th.

In Short Course 2WD Modified the TQ position was firmly held by Chris Viesins with an 11 lap 5:14.906 time.
Congratulations Chris!
Chris Viesins lead the field out and cruised for the win making it look easy out there! Great driving with Chris taking TQ and the win, Ron Viesins in 2nd and George Mercado in 3rd.

The best of the best racing hard at Space Coast RC on a Wednesday Night!

Some pics of the new layout area, causing certain sections to be run backwards! Notice how quick the blue-groove started forming again in the first picture above.

Thur 8/30/12

Wednesday Night Racing

Last night we had some new faces pop in for some Wednesday night racing, along with some of our SCRC regulars. James Tate from Ocala was there early getting some practice along with Mac Davis, Keith Johnson and Brian Watts and many others. Ruffy Rios showed up just after 5:35 pm and JConcepts' Jason Ruona and Paul Wynn showed up also for some 2WD mod buggy racing. Looks like we were going to have a very competitive night of racing with this group of racers!
We had two rounds of 6 min. qualifying for each of the 4 heats and then the 7 min. mains were run after a short break. We had four different classes run this night but I can only recall the 2WD modified A-Main as it was the last one of the evening.
In the 2WD modified class, after both qualifying rounds, the TQ position was Jason Ruona with a 12/5:08, 2nd was Ruffy Rios and 3rd was Paul Wynn.
Congratulations Jason!
At the horn, Jason lead us out onto the racing surface which was very high bite all night long, with Ruffy close in 2nd and Paul close in 3rd. The positions stayed like this for the top 3 until lap #4 where the top three were so close to each other you could have thrown a towel over them and as they navigated thru the tight infield turns Ruffy came out in the lead with Jason 2nd and Paul in 3rd. These positions stayed like this for the next two laps, with the three cars within close distance of each other when a small slide from Ruffy had Jason go back into the lead with Ruffy close on his wheel in 2nd and Paul very close in 3rd. As they went thru the sweeper, Jason was just in front with Ruffy running the high line and Paul snuck in underneath around the cross-over to take 2nd. So now it was Jason in first, Paul 2nd and Ruffy 3rd for another 2 laps; when a series of small mistakes had the top three cars within inches of each other for the next 2 to 3 laps with many position changes between the top 3 drivers. It was anybody's race at this point. The racing was very close, very tight, but extremely clean in that there was no contact being made as they raced each other like the RC veterans they are, as they were racing hard but keeping it clean the entire time. In the end, Jason took the win, Ruffy took 2nd, Paul took 3rd, 4th was James Tate, 5th was Mac Davis, 6th was Keith Johnson and 7th was Brian Watts.
Fantastic Racing Guys, as a few spectators and marshals commented afterwards how incredible it was to watch that kind of clean racing action every lap of a 7 min main!
Comments from some of our new faces were that the racing was amazing, the SCRC track and surface are incredible and that we in Central Florida are so lucky to have a facility like this here!
Thank-you Angel and Mary!

Saturday 8/18/12 Racing 2WD Mod Breakdown

Eight more photos have been added to the track page from Saturdays races! Everyone was having a great time indoors during the heavy downpour, outside!

Congratulations to Andy Darby who got TQ in the 2WD mod buggy class with a clean & fast qualifier!
Andy Darby lead the field out at the tone with Seth Moore very close and Jeff Harris in third. The entire pack of cars were keeping it very clean around the sweeper as each driver gave room to the one in front for a clean first lap. Just as the first three cars started to enter the "over-under" area it appears that Seth (2nd) who was running a wider/high line from the sweeper, suddenly came down fast causing Jeff (3rd) to check up to avoid a collision, which brought the pack up to a traffic jam as Ruffy Rios (4th) rolled into Jeff who was now sideways, and pointed him back in the right direction where they both proceeded to chase down Andy (1st) and Seth (2nd) who had gotten away clean from the developing traffic jam. The rest of the pack battled it out through the wrecks, and infield triple section trying to reorganize themselves for the chase.
After the first lap it was still Andy (1st), Seth (2nd), Ruffy (3rd) and Jeff (4th) leading a freight train of 2wd mod buggies around within 1 to 3 feet of each other but without contact. As they started lap two Andy and Seth got very close to each other as Seth tried to pressure Andy into a mistake but Andy held strong as they entered the dual 180's section before the over-under, with Ruffy now closing the gap behind the two front runners as they went over the cross-over and approached the large double jump with less than a foot between these three buggies and Jeff still within striking distance in 4th. As they made the sharp left-hander onto the front straight, Seth went about one buggy width too wide with Ruffy driving a very tight line taking 2nd place from Seth without contact, with Andy leading the way down the straight and only 2 feet separating the three leading buggies now. The top four made it cleanly around the sweeper and through the triples, but as they rounded "Shiver-Hill's" corner in the back left corner, Andy went about two car widths too wide as Ruffy drove another very tight line to take the lead around this corner without any contact once again. Ruffy was now in 1st, Andy 2nd, Seth 3rd and Jeff 4th as they settled in for the long race since only 1 minute had passed so far. On the next lap Jeff tightened his lines a little and closed the gap quickly to Seth making the pass for 3rd in the 180-degree off-camber turn, bumping Seth back to 4th. This allowed Ruffy (1st) and Andy (2nd) to create a small gap over 3rd and 4th place; but in less than two laps Jeff (3rd) closed the gap to Andy (2nd) and tried to apply some pressure to him, but Andy had his race face on and did not crack to the pressure.

As the race progressed, Jeff's car broke down at some point; Andy got stuck on a pipe just as Chris Viesins was making his way from the 9th bump up position from the B-main through the field and into the 2nd place position bumping Andy back to 3rd with Seth 4th. At this point there was approximately less than 30 seconds left in the race and Ruffy (1st) was driving a very conservative race to protect the large lead he had over the 2nd place car, as he singled every big jump and double singled the triple on the last few laps to secure 1st place still by a straight-away lead that he had developed. This is all I was both able to recall and also see using Kevin Backer's phone video clip from facebook; but in the end it was Ruffy Rios taking the Win, Chris Viesins in 2nd place and Andy Darby in 3rd place on the podium.
Congratulations to Ruffy Rios on the win!
Please check the results posted in the right hand column drop-down area and thank-you to Kevin Backer for that video for the race play-by-play breakdown.

Wednesday 8/15/12 Racing 2WD breakdown

Seth Moore got TQ in the buggy class after driving a clean fast qualifier!
Congratulations Seth!
Seth lead the field out at the tone and made a great start but went a little wide after the triple section allowing Bobby Horan and Ruffy Rios to get on the inside of him as the pack went up towards "Shiver Hill" in the back left corner of the track.
Ruffy had a huge mistake getting stuck under the pipe after he provided room for another buggy at the cross-over jump. Bobby Horan lead it with David Davis in 2nd (not sure who had 3rd at this time) while the rest of the pack tried to keep it on all 4 tires. Ruffy made his way slowly thru the pack and caught up to David who was in 2nd and followed him around the track for 4 to 5 laps looking for a place to pass. Ruffy looked inside and outside but David was running a nice tight line, only opening the door in one or two places where Ruffy would attempt to go inside, but he always backed out of it before any contact was made as they both tried to catch Bobby leading the race. On one of the hairpin turns, David spun it out just slightly and Ruffy rolled into him; they were both patient and got marshaled perfectly and Ruffy gave David the advantage once again in front of him without trying to gain a position due to it. Before they could get to the next corner David spun it out again allowing Ruffy to get by cleanly taking the 2nd position. Meanwhile Brett Kingsbury was making his way through the field and as Ruffy tried to find Bobby (1st place) on the track. Brett then found David sitting in 3rd place, but David's tires were going away quickly after running hard for many laps and he spun it out again two more times allowing Brett by to take the 3rd position. That is how the top 3 finished, with Bobby Horan finishing 1st, Ruffy Rios in 2nd and Brett Kingsbury finishing 3rd! Congratulations to Bobby Horan on the win!

Space Coast R/C Facility

Welcome to Space Coast R/C! We hope you enjoy your time with us at the facility created by Angel, Mary and the SCRC staff for all the RC racers that are able to join us!

The Space Coast R/C facility is located at 3095 Grissom Parkway, in Cocoa, FL. The entire facility is just under 14,000 sq. ft., with the track surface approximately 116' x 70', composed entirely of red clay.

The facility is an all indoor offroad racing venue for the 1/10 and 1/8 classes that will have separate running/race days. Open practice days will consist of timed sessions between the 1/10 and 1/8 scale vehicles, so that they are not on the track at the same time and to protect the younger drivers that may be helping to turn marshal.

Membership package pricing is available for individuals and also family pricing for multiple family members will be made available as well. There are many benefits for members that will quickly add-up for a more enjoyable experience at SCRC, and help to keep the facility running smoothly.

All pit spaces are open and on a first-come-first-serve basis, unless they have been reserved and are designated as such, see the INFO page for more information. Membership pricing does not include a reserved/private pit space.

All pit spaces have access to electrical outlets and fans through-out the facility will keep the air circulating, keeping you cooler.

SCRC also has a large standing compressor with three (3) hoses and nozzles for cleaning your RC vehicles located to the right of the main entrance. This air compressor table area is designated only as a cleaning station and not as normal pit space. We also have water-bin cleaning areas for the cleaning of your tires and bodies.

Two restrooms, one for men and one for women, are provided next to the pro shop area and are not to be used for cleaning tires or bodies. Please help us keep these areas clean at all times for everyone.
